My Childhood Book.

I had written a short novel of my childhood. It was published in April 1997 after I finished writing a few years. When I started my writing, I thought it would be easy because I write about my own life. I should have finished this story in a few months but I was wrong. I spent two years for writing a little book.

I wrote this book in Thai. Its name is หอมกลิ่นแผ่นดินหนาว, Its means “The Warm Land in the Winter.” It was published by Dokya Publishing House. My friend, Mr. Chitti Noosuk, the Editor of the Dokya, did it for me.

I was born in a farmer family at a village in north-eastern Thailand, 44 years ago. When I was young I was a thin boy, as thin as a little palm tree. My father put me in a right job, the right job of mine was looked after buffaloes. I was a buffaloboy (Just like a cowboy in the western America).

In Summer I and others buffaloboy in the village brought buffaloes to dry field a round the village. Buffaloes were looking about green grass, buffaloboys were playing games under a big tree shadow.

My favorite season is winter. I usually look back on the winter in my childhood. At that time I liked to see starry night. I loved warm glory morning and beautiful sun set. My remembrance of winter in my childhood is amazing and happy times.

My daughter was born in Bangkok. She is growing up and living in the capital city. She wanted to know my childhood and asked me tell her stories. I gave her my book and told her that some of stories she want to know were published in the book. After she finished reading she told me that the book is funny. She wanted to know my childhood stories in summer season and rainy season. I told her it will be written in the future before I died.

I truly believe that everyone has amazing and happy remembrance of childhood. Well, I had told you my childhood days and you read it. I would like to know about your stories. Just a story now. Would you please tell me a story of yours?

Leave it in comments box. Thank you.
