Lighthouse in Sunlight

tower

This is the lighthouse of Cape Byron, the most easterly point of Australia Mainland. The Cape Byron was written in Diary of James Cook on May 15, 1770 that “…a tolerable high point of land bore north west by west, distant tree miles: this point, I named Cape Byron. It may be known by a remarkable sharp peaked mountain lying in land north-west by west from it.”

Lighthouse of Cape Byron was officially opened on December 1,1901.
